The Bison Skull Buckle is made from a hand-drawing I made while studying bison skulls. The drawing was then rendered onto a hardened steel stamp and used to carefully hot press into each buckle. The buckle is then further forged and fabricated to create a piece that celebrates these amazing creatures once present throughout much of North America.
The ‘Copper Rivets’ buckle presses the stamp in the center of our square plate and includes copper rivets at the corners.
Each belt buckle is hand-crafted singularly or in small batches using traditional blacksmithing techniques. The result is a unique piece where no two buckles are the same. Our belt buckles are 100% designed and hand-forged in western Montana.

The Bison Skull Two Faces Buckle is only available in our square plate size (2.75” X 2.25”) and finished in a unique ‘Copper over Black’ finish which gives copper highlights beneath a black patina. It it can be made for either 1.5” or 1.25” belt widths, please specify.
